The developer and future operator of Lithuanian Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal SC \u201cKlaipedos Nafta\u201d from today (30th<\/sup> April) is starting LNG terminal capacity allocation \u2013 so called \u201copen season\u201d. This first phase of the terminal capacity booking will last until end of July.<\/h3>\n

SC \u201cKlaipedos Nafta\u201d is starting the primary capacity allocation (open season) \u2013 the first contracts for LNG regasification and (or) reload services will be concluded in June-July, while the capacity will be allocated annually. However, when the terminal\u2019s activity progresses, unallocated capacities will be regularly updated and published on the website www.sgd.lt <\/i>and <\/i>will be available for booking at any time according to technical possibilities.<\/p>\n

LNG terminal offers users the opportunity to acquire terminal capacities, which include: birthing right to the LNG terminal, loading of LNG into the terminal, temporary storage of LNG until it is regasified or reloaded into small scale LNG vessel, regasification and (or) reloading LNG into small scale LNG vessel. Priority will be given to the regasification activity. Terminal operations are scheduled to start from the end of this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cLNG terminal project is rapidly moving forward and gaining sharper contours. FSRU (floating storage regasification unit) is already built, the infrastructure works are carried out according to plan, and now we start another major milestone \u2013 the terminal\u2019s capacity allocation. The terminal will also have a third-party access and will be open to all global LNG market participants who may from today reserve terminal\u2019s capacity for regasification, temporary storage of LNG and reload operations. Please note that the gas market in Lithuania is regulated by National Control Commission for Prices and Energy (NCCPE), the terminal usage rules have been approved and made public by the NCCPE and SC \u201cKlaipedos Nafta\u201d. The Company also announced preliminary terminal service tariffs, their upper limits will be set by the NCCPE this year. SC \u201cKlaipedos Nafta\u201d is appointed as LNG terminal\u2019s operator by the decision of the Government of Lithuania.<\/p>\n
