One more new container line in Klaipeda Container Terminal

The first call of m/v Nordic Hamburg on July 11 will give start to a new feeder service in Klaipeda

Operator of the new container line OLA Overseas Liner Baltic represents one of the largest ocean carriers in the world Yang Ming Transport Corp. The new service which is called IE II (Intra Europe Feeder Service II) in Yang Ming system, will link Klaipeda with the ports of Hamburg and Gdynia. Nordic Hamburg will call KCT terminal once per week.

In the last few years Yang Ming have been rapidly increasing their volumes in Klaipeda (7.6 % in 2014), launching their own feeder service should stimulate further growth. The new carrier offers freight services to other container lines, too, so cargo owners will have more variety to choose from.

It is the second new feeder line accommodated in Klaipeda Container Terminal this year. Baltic Sea X-PRESS launched in April successfully develops their service.
